King Salmon

Here is Russ McDonald with a couple of really nice King Salmon. Russ and I both work for GTE. He lives in Alaska. We were working on a problem together one day and I was really laying it on thick about all of these sandbass I had caught. The next day he sent me this photo. Needless to say, Russ wins bragging rights.

Terry Pitt is the other guy in the photo (Russ is on the right) and he outfished me too. He was the unofficial guide that put them both on the fish. These were caught out of the Kenia River and are sometimes referred to as Kenia Salmon. One was 40 pounds and the other 60 pounds. Both monsters hit at the same time too. I have heard that Alaska fishing is the absolute best. I hope I can try it someday.
