Monte Isle Du Bois Fishing Pier and Ryan fished Ray Roberts Tuesday evening. As of this writing the lake level is 1.7 feet high. We launched at the Isle Du Bois ramp and took this picture of the fishing pier. What a difference from just a few weeks ago, eh? I remember when you had to crane your neck to look up at it. The pier will get swallowed up if the lake gets any higher.

Our fishing adventure started with a boat ride to Indian Creek. We followed another angler blasting his way through the lane. It would have been a long trip otherwise because this was our first time to go as far back into Indian as we did. We chunked rattle traps, spinner baits and a couple worms with no takers. We found grass right next to the bank with deep water access but no fish. We will try that spot again next time.

We Ryan caught the only fish of the day fished there for about 1½ hours then we headed for our sand bass honey hole in Johnson Cove. Ryan came up with one sandie on a white Model-A trolling the hump in the cove. We circled back around in there for 3 rounds then decided the sand bass was a stragler. From there we hit the cove on the main lake point. My lake map calls it Bonny Pond. Guide Bruce Breisch recommended throwing black/blue lizards there (I think thats where he meant) but it didn't work for us.
