June 30, 1998 Well it has been a while since I have updated the website. That stupid Suburban of ours is driving me and my mechanic nuts! It seems there are serious flaws with my plan to drive used cars rather than new cars.

Anyway, I managed to go fishing several times during the week of June 21. We spent a few days at my parents house on Cedar Creek Lake where I lost another big one (got to get a net). This time it was a Hybrid Striper. We were chasing a big school of white bass boiling the surface. I bounced a big slab off the bottom and WHAM! This BIG Hybrid hit hard. I got him to the boat and attempted the old lip grab and missed. After another failed lip grab I decided to hoist him into the boat (I spooled my reel with 24 lb spiderwire). The line didn't break but the hook ripped through his lip and he got away. I have got to buy a net!

We also chased the white bass on Richland Chambers. These were very big sand bass. Some of them measured over 16 inches long. No pictures this time though. The whole roll was blank. Guess I need a new camera too.
