Monte still hasn't been fishing since October. It is a crying shame too! Between bad weather, work, and the holidays Monte simply has not had a chance to make it to the lake. From the reports out there Monte figures he would be getting blanked anyway. The water temps are very cold and the hardest part of winter is still in front of us. Hopefully this spring we can make up for it and catch a couple monsters like Ryan caught back in 1998.

A quick trip to Lake Ray Roberts may be in the works very soon. We are thinking about chunking a jig & pig at some tank dams. If nothing else we could run the boat a while. Monte believes a boat that sits up too long, breaks!

At the risk of talking politics with friends, Monte feels he needs to share something about the anti-scouting campaign that has recently bewildered most of us. Monte has always had a difficult time understanding how a minority of the population could have more say than the majority.
