Here is a nice one that Monte caught off "The Point"
next to the State Park Swimming Area on Fairfield Lake. Seth came
along on this jaunt when he was 7 years old. If I remember correctly,
he spent more time throwing rocks than fishing. We accidentally woke up
Ryan when we arrived home and he wanted to get his picture taken with the
big fish too. He was three years old at the time.
The fish tipped the scales at 5 pounds 9 ounces and was 22 inches long.
"The Point" as my fishing buddy, Roy (Rock) Hudman, and I call it has been a
very good fishing hole for us. We once went for a two week period limiting
out on hybrids every night. They would school up on the end of the point
at about dusk then disappear about 20 to 30 minutes later. They would hit
anything we threw at them.
