Monte,

Seth, and Ryan took another striper trip to Lake Texoma on Friday. We arrived at
Cedar Mills Marina, in the Big Mineral arm of the lake, around 4pm and it was raining cats and dogs! Even though we had our rain gear on, our feet were soaked before we even launched the boat. Monte got a chill so bad he couldn't shake it until he got back home to a hot shower. However, between downpours, we managed to find the birds schooling and were on top of the fish in no time.

Seth

was using our only Prune Picker Slab that we had not lost. Monte and Ryan were using sassy shads. The only one catching fish, though, was Seth. That is until a stump gobbled up his slab. He managed 3 very small stripers and one pretty good one. After that we didnt even get a nibble with the sassy shads.

When we launched we met a couple of anglers that were as crazy as us. But not having the good sense to stay out of the rain paid off for them with a very large striper.

Once we got home we felt better about our future Texoma trips because a box of 12 Prune Picker Slabs ( 6 Old Geezers Fishing Lake Texoma) was in our mailbox waiting for us.

See you out there.
