Monte Scout Troop 355 on their August Campout went camping with his son's scout troop last weekend at Lake Ray Roberts. Fishing was the theme and fun was had by all.

As you can see by these pictures we were stuck fishing from the bank. And pictured is the biggest catch of the day. What a whopper, eh? There was an entire armada of boats just out of reach on a huge school of white bass. Of course, all we could do was point and say "aint that somethin!"

We camped out in the primitave camping area just next to the boat ramp at Isle Duboise. Our campsite was right on the end of the peninsula and the view was great! There was barely a breaze and the skeeters actually carried Monte a few feet before he woke and scrambled inside a tent. He vowed to remember his bug spray next month.
